Bikes are great. Can accomplish so much in such a small amount of time. New turn signals, new mirrors, cables lubed, shifter lever fixed, polished some chrome. Good times. Also rode this Honda 750. It was... okay. Slower than my Vulcan 500 by far, but made fantastic V-twin noises and had a super nice shifter. The ape hangers are the worst thing ever though.

New turn signals.

Compared to the old one. The left one was broken which is why they were replaced. I hate the new ones but they were sitting around in a box so yay free parts. The wire routing for these is dumb as hell, however.

Also free mirrors, taken off the Rebel 250. Not a fan of how high the stalks are and the adjustments are bullshit but they work.

The paint on that Honda was hilarious. We have no idea how this happens. Paint prep with a grinding wheel instead of wire wheel?

Going to try various methods to remove these dents. PDR heat/cool gun to get them to pop out on their own for starters, but I’ll probably end up just tack welding a stick to them and slide hammering them out and then grinding and filling as necessary. Going to get a $16 can of base coat from a local company and use some 2K spray clear (respirator required) to re-finish the tank. These tanks are hideously expensive so if I can make this one look okay I’m doing good. Going to stick with the metallic dark purple, it’s a fantastic color if the paint company can match it relatively close.
